The Channel Islands
Safehaven was established in the Island of Guernsey in 1981. Together with Jersey and other smaller islands, Guernsey forms part of a small archipelago in the English Channel.
There are no corporation or capital taxes in the Islands, and generally such taxes and duties that are applied effectively only impact upon residents of the Islands.
The position of the islands in relation to the European Community is best summarised as “in, but effectively out”.
Safehaven has been working with and in Malta since the summer of 2008.
Currently Safehaven works with licensed professionals within the Island to provide a complete service to its International clientele.
We often visit the Island in order to work with our clients when yachts are imported for the purposes of dealing with indirect taxes and duties.
Safehaven provides a fully comprehensive service in respect of the establishment and maintenance of Maltese leasing arrangements for yachts.
